REPORT CARDS

Report Cards will be going home Friday, Feb. 17th.  If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Sick Children: For the protection of our students and staff, kindly keep your child at home in times of illness, until they are completely well .(i.e. Keep your child home from school for at least 24 hours after their fever is gone. Fever should be gone without the use of a fever reducing medicine. A fever is defined as 100°F (37.8°C) or higher.  A student should not be sent with a request to remain indoors during recess or lunch hour. Recess and lunch hours are part of the school day and the school is organized and staff is allocated accordingly. Please do not send your child to school with undiagnosed rashes or skin complaints. The school is obligated to contact parents when such cases present themselves and the student must be picked up and should not return until the cause is identified. In the event of an injury, e.g. broken leg, asthmatic condition or other long term disability or where a doctor's certificate is provided, special accommodation will be made.

PARKING LOT

At the front of the school, there is a designated lane for school buses. This lane is used by our buses when they arrive at school for student drop off and after school for student pick up. If you are dropping off or picking up your child at school, please do not park in the designated school bus lane. Students may be dropped off/picked up at the side of the school, near the parking lot.  The parking lot is busy, so please drive slow when entering and exiting the lot.  We appreciate everyone’s cooperation with this.

VALENTINE’S RAFFLE

Our Valentine’s Raffle was a very successful fundraiser. We raised over $380 to be used to purchase classroom supplies. Mrs. Benoit is very excited to report that $245 worth of tickets were purchased using School Cash Online. That is a lot of quarters and loonies that didn’t have to be counted, rolled and deposited by hand. Thank you!!! The basket winners were Kathryn L. in Grade 1 and Lucas L.F. in Grade 5.

FAMILY DAY

Just a reminder that Monday, February 20th is Family Day. There is no school. Enjoy the long weekend with your family.
