March Madness

Next week students and staff will take part in daily fun activities each day. One activity will be a STEM Classroom Challenge on Thursday. We are looking for empty toilet paper/paper towel rolls, cardboard, small boxes, etc. Please send in with your child early next week.

Class Addition

Due to changes in our school enrollment an additional teacher has been allotted to our school.   We welcome Mrs. Bourassa-Barron to our school. Because of this addition, some adjustments are required within our primary classes.  Parents of students affected will be notified early next week.  The change  will take place the morning of Wednesday, March. 17th.

Lenten Cause

This year our Lenten Cause is The Gloucester Food Bank. We will be collecting food items. There are three special “Fun Days”  where students are encouraged to make a small donation to our Lenten Cause: Friday, March 19th is Pyjama Day; Friday, March 26th is Twin Day;  and, Thursday, April 1st is Beach Day. You may make a contribution using School Cash Online. If you have not yet registered, please do so at :

Picture Days

Due to Covid restrictions, Picture Day is a bit different this year. Lifetouch has implemented comprehensive Picture Day safety protocols.

On Wednesday, March 24th, we will be doing Senior Kindergarten and Grade 6 Graduation Pictures. Robes will be provided and students are asked to wear a plain shirt, preferably white.

On Thursday, March 25th we will start with Junior Kindergarten students to Grade 5. If there is not enough time to finish this day, or students are absent, the photographers will return on March 26th. While Picture Day may look different this year, your child’s safety remains the priority.

Dress for the Weather

Spring is almost here! Please ensure that your child is dressed for the season. Layering is a great idea at this time of year because the weather changes so quickly. Ensure that your child has extra socks, mitts, etc. There are still many days when snowpants will be necessary, especially to play in the snow that still remains. Also, remind your child not to abandon their coats, hats and mitts outside when the weather is warm. It is their responsibility to keep track of these items.  Due to Covid restrictions the office is not able to lend out items.
