How to Start a Community Garden
Thursday, November 24, 2016 - 6:00-8:00pm There's much to navigate when establishing a community garden, as a result it can take a year or more to pull it all together. This workshop will go over the crucial elements to navigate when establishing a community garden. At this workshop participants will learn all there is to know about establishing a community garden in Ottawa including sections on site selection & acquisition, garden design & model, establishing a team, managing a garden, consulting your community, accessing funding & much more. Now is the perfect time to start planning for 2017. This program is offered as part of the à la carte food literacy project in partnership with Just Food. Funded by the Government of Ontario.
