Dear St. Brother André Community:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together through this challenging time. The Ministry of Education has now given permission for students to temporarily access the school to retrieve personal belongings.

SBA is going to begin this process on Wednesday, 17th from 10am-2pm. Your arrival at school will be in alphabetical order using the student's last name.

Wednesday, June 17th

10-11am A-C

A Step by Step Guide to “Retrieval of Personal Belongings” at SBA:

This time is reserved for pick up of personal items only. Please plan to limit the number of family members and your time in the school (10 minutes or less.) Report cards will not be distributed at this time. Alternate methods of report card distribution are being planned (electronic or Canada Post). A second pick up day will be arranged for the last week of school for Grade 6 students to pick up their certificates, Grad t-shirts and, hopefully, a composite graduation photo.

Before coming to school:

All individuals entering the school must confirm that they meet the conditions listed here.   (please click the link and review)

  • Please bring any items (library books etc) that are to be returned to the school. Chromebooks may be kept until the fall if you are remaining with our board.

Arriving at the school:

  • Park in the school parking lot and enter at the front door...if there is a line, please follow the proper spacing of 2 meters apart.

  •  Confirm with the designated staff member that you meet the conditions listed here prior to admittance.

  • Wash your hands using the provided hand sanitizer.

  • At the designated table, drop off any items you are returning to the school.

  • Proceed to your child’s homeroom to retrieve personal items. Staff in Grade JK-3 will have collected, bagged and labelled items. Bags will include personal items: clothing, school supplies, school work, books, shoes, etc. Select the bag for your child. Students in Grade 4-6 are to bring their own bag to collect their items from their various classrooms.

  • Unlabelled/Unbagged items from the same classroom, will be placed in or outside the classroom... please check for your items there as well.

  • There will also be a table for lost and found items near the exit.

  • When you have all your items, exit the school from one of our back or side not return to the front office.

While in the school:

  • Please limit the number of family members entering the school; parent and student only.

  • There will be no access to the school washrooms, gym, Learning Commons
